What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager - Data Center Construction position at Ascendo Resources?
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all company, client, and project policies
- Promote and enforce job site safety per national standards
- Lead project estimation and proposal development
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources
- Oversee execution to meet design specs, deadlines, and financial targets
- Collaborate closely with clients to ensure alignment and satisfaction
- Coordinate internal staff, subcontractors, and vendors for seamless operations
- Oversee procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Drive proactive billing and consistent collections
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and troubleshoot issues
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients and project teams
- Assist leadership in forecasting labor and material needs
- Deliver detailed progress and financial reports to senior management
- Manage RFPs, scopes of work, and change orders
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Continuously seek personal and professional growth opportunities
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in Construction Project Management
- 5 years of experience in Electrical Project Management for large-scale IT/Telecom infrastructure, especially Data Centers
- Hands-on knowledge of data center electrical systems, cabling, and white space fit-outs
