Our esteemed client in Bergen County, New Jersey is looking for an Insurance Risk Manager & will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of insurance, letters of credit, and bonding within the company. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the proper management of the company’s risk exposure and ensuring that risk-related processes are efficiently handled.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with teams across the organization to ensure proper management of the company’s risk exposure.
- Manage the insurance renewal process and work with stakeholders to ensure renewals are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate the completion of insurance applications for renewal and prepare necessary documentation and schedules for the insurance renewal process.
- Review contracts to ensure compliance with insurance requirements and ensure appropriate coverage.
- Review and monitor Certificate of Insurance (COI) requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Manage the annual insurance audit process and liaise with auditors to ensure smooth and timely completion.
- Oversee Workers’ Compensation (WC) reporting and compliance for various monopolistic states, ensuring that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
- Review and analyze claim reserves for Workers' Compensation and Automotive claims to ensure they are properly accounted for.
- Report and monitor ongoing insurance claims and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Review Letters of Credit for internal and external projects, ensuring that they meet financial and operational standards.
- Assess and review bonding needs for the organization and collaborate with appropriate parties to secure necessary bonds.
- Lead special projects and provide filing and administrative support as needed, ensuring smooth operations across all risk-related activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- 5 years of professional work experience in insurance or risk management is preferred.
- Superior analytical skills and demonstrated ability to draw conclusions, summarize findings, and make recommendations based on data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word software is strongly preferred.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills to work effectively with team members across various business levels and geographical locations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
