Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and preparing accurate financial reports. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience with financial analysis, and a keen eye for detail. This position requires a proactive and organized individual who can manage multiple tasks while ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies. Ensure that all accounts are accurately and timely reconciled.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring the timely and accurate closing of books.
- Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies. Identify areas for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns (sales tax, VAT, FET, corporate income tax) and ensure timely and accurate filings.
- Audit Support: Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and explanations for financial transactions and balances.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Provide variance analysis and insights on financial performance.
- Accounting Software: Utilize accounting software to record financial transactions, generate reports, and streamline workflows. Suggest improvements for system enhancements or integrations.
- Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, assisting in their professional development and helping them resolve complex accounting issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Experience: 5 years of experience in accounting role.
- Experience: 1 years of experience in a senior accountant or similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced skills).
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to management and stakeholders.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Team Player: Collaborative, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
