Senior Control Systems Engineer
Location: Shady Grove, PA
Schedule: Monday-Thursday Onsite, Remote Every Friday
Business Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
About the Role:
A well-established machine manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their team. This role is open due to an internal promotion, offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to contribute to innovative product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write requirements, design, and document control systems for new products.
- Apply knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and software systems to collaborate with the product development team.
- Troubleshoot control systems incorporating hydraulic, electrical, and software subsystems.
- Clearly define task completion steps, estimate completion times, and assess risks that may cause delays.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, production service, and testing teams.
- Take accountability for mistakes with a problem-solving mindset and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Supervise internal or external contractors as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment engineering or a related industry.
- Ability to work in an office environment with occasional visits to job sites, test yards, and factories.
- Familiarity with safety guidelines and protocols in production and testing environments.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Proficiency in C and Simulink coding.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic and a track record of project execution.
- Commitment to safety culture, including conducting safety reviews.
- Ability to climb a ladder up to 12 feet.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control Systems, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Experience in designing off-highway or construction equipment.
- Background in both production and product design environments.
- Working knowledge of Functional Safety requirements.
- Proficiency in C and C for embedded applications.
