Our esteemed client in Franklin County, PA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with 3 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering design, circuit design, and product improvement. This role will involve working on various engineering disciplines, including embedded control, I/O modules, and sensor systems, and will require close coordination with other teams within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Concept and Design: Prepare concept sketches, layouts, and specification documents as required for assigned projects.
- Electrical Design: Design circuits utilizing embedded control modules, I/O systems, and sensors. Prepare component/control specifications and engineering documentation.
- Test Analysis: Conduct product testing, analyze data, and report on performance, feasibility, and concept studies as required.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments in the preparation of manuals, sales literature, and any other required documentation for assigned projects.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare and report on progress, schedule, cost, and other performance information for projects within your area of responsibility.
- Liaison Role: Serve as the point of contact for production and service teams, offering engineering support as needed.
- Safety: Perform job functions in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and completing necessary safety training.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal teams, external customers, and stakeholders.
- Data Analysis: Experience with tools such as PCAN to analyze CAN data and interpret test results.
- Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- 3D Modeling: Experience with 3D modeling software.
- Embedded Systems & I/O: Knowledge and experience working with I/O modules that utilize analog (voltage, current, frequency), digital inputs, and PWM outputs.
- Test Equipment: Hands-on experience with volt/current meters, oscilloscopes, data acquisition instruments, and other standard electrical test equipment.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the off-highway/construction equipment industry is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Pro Engineer Wildfire 3.0 preferred; Creo, Creo Schematic, and CAN Open messaging structures are a plus.
- License & Certification: A PE (Professional Engineer) License is preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design, with at least 3 years of hands-on electrical design experience.
- Familiarity with off-highway or construction equipment is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform job functions in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, wet, dry, etc.).
- Ability to stand, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (limited <5%).
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
- Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job being performed, both in the facility and during customer visits.
- Follow safety and health procedures and participate in safety training programs.
- Identify and report safety issues, unsafe acts, and provide safety suggestions to management.
Work Environment:
- Primarily an office and plant environment.
- Will require some outdoor work (at least 5% of the time) in varying weather conditions.

Salary : $85,000 - $105,000
