Project Staff Accountant
Company is seeking a Project Staff Accountant to join its dynamic and growing team. This role involves managing project accounting and payroll functions within a branch setting, contributing to the financial success of a company that provides subcontracting services across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Accounting: Accurately record project costs, track expenditures, and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Payroll Management: Process payroll for approximately 100 employees in Atlanta and 50 employees in Greensboro.
- Accounts Payable: Coordinate with the shared services team to ensure timely processing of AP.
- Audit Support: Assist with audits conducted by an external Big 4 firm (EY), providing necessary documentation and support.
- ERP Systems: Work with larger company ERP systems (e.g., MS Dynamics), with the organization transitioning to Dynamics 365.
- Excel Reporting: Create and manage pivot tables and other advanced Excel functions for financial analysis and reporting.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Associate’s Degree in Accounting; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred (required discipline: Accounting).
Experience:
- Construction industry experience is required.
- Strong background in project accounting.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (experience with MS Dynamics or similar large ERP systems is preferred).
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel skills, including creating pivot tables and data analysis.
Additional Qualifications: Ability to work collaboratively with shared services teams for AP and AR functions
