OPPORTUNITY: Ascension Christian Elementary School in Gonzales, Louisiana is seeking an energetic, personable, Christian leader for a part-time Extended Care Manager. The position reports to the Ascension Christian Campus Administrators providing daily oversight of the Extended Care Program K4-8th grade students. The position requires personnel management, staffing, activity planning, evaluation, and behavior management. Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (College Degree preferred)
- Management Experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to lead a team of entry-level employees
Qualities:
- Minimum one year experience working in a preschool or camp setting
- Must possess good leadership abilities, time management, and organizational skills
- Must love working with young children ages 4 – 13
- Enthusiastic, responsible, dependable, flexible and calm in all situations
Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and oversee Extended Care employees
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that are fun and safe
- Create weekly schedules for employees
- Work with the assistant manager in a positive manner promoting teamwork
- Manage issues that may arise including but not limited to student behavior and parental concerns
- Plan and organize holiday camps as well as summer camps
