What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Faculty position at Ascension Christian Schools?

Education Requirements
The teacher shall:
Hold a valid Louisiana teaching certificate for the courses taught or qualify to teach in nonpublic schools by meeting all of the following criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Have a college major or the equivalent in the area of teaching assignment
- Have earned at least 12 semester hours of professional education courses.
General Description:
- Goal: The teacher shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development toward maturity, ability, and responsibility as Christians to the praise and glory of God.
- Overview: The teacher shall be a born-again Christian, a college graduate, certified or certifiable, who feels called of God to the teaching profession.
- Responsible to: School Campus Administrator
- Supervises: None
- Evaluation: Performance and Student Learning evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Ascension Christian School’s policy on evaluation of professional personnel and the specific job description.
