GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Directs day to day operations of designated Clinic site(s) and special projects as directed. Follows organizational standards, policies and procedures of ADS and specified certifying/accrediting bodies. Serves as a member of the Management Team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages systems and relationships to ensure quality care, safety, regulatory compliance and patient satisfaction.
- Resolves any workflow issues, and provides continuous quality improvement of services and staff competency.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
- Evaluates performance of assigned personnel.
- Coordinates with a clinical trainer to assure initial and ongoing competency.
- Collaborates with clinical staff and other non-direct reports that provides patient care.
- Determines appropriate staffing levels and interviews, hires, on boards, conducts performance reviews and works with Human Resources on progressive discipline of employees.
- Collaborates with all members of Executive Leadership to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Involved in planning, implementing, evaluating, and marketing services for Behavioral Health.
- Monitors and distributes weekly and monthly ad hoc operating reports according to deadline.
- Serves as site primary point of contact for overall patient satisfaction; works to resolve issues and improve service excellence.
- Understands and effectively utilizes the Electronic Health Record, and appropriate report writing functions. Assures designated staff is trained in patient registration and scheduling components while assuring all direct reports are competent in all other EMR applications.
- Ensures that the clinic is in compliance with federal and state regulations. (HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, Medicare, HRSA, etc.)
- Attends or conducts clinic staff meetings; participates in provider CQI, and organizational meetings as needed.
- Works in collaboration with Executive Leadership to develop and implement policy and procedures for the operations of the designated site.
- Assists with the development and fostering of effective collaboration between clinical departments, divisions, staff leadership, and other affiliated services to ensure an integrated approach to providing services.
- Accepts supervision, feedback, and continuing education programs as requested.
- Attends training for billing services as required and assures that staff receives training to maintain adequate knowledge of billing.
- Assists in documentation of incidents and untoward events and understand and participates in safety programs and disaster drills.
- Complete payroll for direct reports in a timely fashion.
- Knowledgeable of and applies the Vision and Mission of Ascension Health, DePaul Community Health Centers.
- Knowledgeable of patient rights and responsibilities and accepts responsibility for implementation of same; Maintains and assures patient confidentiality.
- Manages the physical technology infrastructure.
- Performs other duties and special projects as requested.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work day is normally involving at least 40% of lifting, twisting, standing, bending, and some activities that involve walking will be required to be performed. The associate will be required to travel from multiple clinic sites and must be required to work flexible hours to accommodate needs of various sites and community events. Supervision of multiple clinic sites may be applicable. A Louisiana driver’s license is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is normally performed in a health clinic with a normal/comfortable temperature setting. The associate will be provided DSCNO equipment (computer, laptop, cell phone, etc.) to perform necessary duties for the position. The majority of the work setting is sedentary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree from an accredited university/community college and/or at least five years in a supervising or lead position within a healthcare setting (preferably behavioral health). In lieu of an Associate’s degree, certifications in a healthcare/behavioral health program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experienced in working in community health centers/Federally Qualified Health Centers setting.
