The Lead Medical Assistant is required to perform all duties of a Medical Assistant and functions as a resource for the Medical Assistants, Patient Representative team and other non- licensed associates. The Lead Medical Assistant works collaboratively with the teams to drive Quality Improvement initiatives and performance improvement. Helps to resolve patient issues./liliPromotes teamwork and a positive attitude amongst all associates. /liliProvides backup support to Medical Assistants which includes lunch coverage on the floor and when needed./liliActs as the first level go-to person for the providers and staff regarding investigating and troubleshooting issues./liliProvides and documents routine inspections of clinical equipment; ensures proper cleaning and storage of equipment./liliConducts daily checks of exam rooms for standard stocking and cleanliness/liliMay serve as the onsite VOMS personnel and liaison between DePaul and VFC./liliUses established channels of communication and proper lines of authority for problem solving and communication./liliSupervises medical assistants and laboratory technicians.
