Job Opportunity: Billing Coordinator (Hybrid)
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a highly regarded international law firm, for a Billing Coordinator to join their Finance department. This is a hybrid position based in Cozen O’Connor’s Miami office, offering a dynamic work environment within a prestigious organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and distribute pre-bills on a monthly basis and as needed.
- Process narrative edits, time adjustments, and cost modifications.
- Prepare and issue final invoices.
- Create LEDES and other electronic billing file formats.
- Submit and manage electronic billing through various vendor platforms.
- Ensure successful transmission of E-Bills and resolve submission issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all client guidelines and ensure compliance.
- Implement and manage client-specific exception rates as required.
- Oversee a "book of business" by maintaining up-to-date records of attorney preferences, billing cycles, and proforma status.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel is required.
- Prior experience with billing systems, particularly Aderant, is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
- A proactive approach to work, with the ability to thrive under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized with the ability to multi-task effectively.
- A team-oriented mindset with professional and courteous communication skills to interact with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in a law firm setting is highly advantageous.
