Key Responsibilities:
✔ Litigation Support – Assist attorneys with case management, including drafting, formatting, and finalizing pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
✔ E-Filing & Case Management – Handle electronic court filings in state and federal courts and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
✔ Calendaring & Scheduling – Maintain litigation calendars, track deadlines, and coordinate depositions, hearings, and trial dates.
✔ Document Management – Organize and manage case files, discovery materials, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
✔ Trial Preparation – Assist in preparing trial binders, exhibits, and witness materials, and coordinate logistics for hearings and trials.
✔ Communication & Correspondence – Draft and proofread correspondence, communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
✔ Administrative Support – Handle time entry, billing coordination, and general administrative tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications & Requirements:
🔹 Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant, preferably in commercial litigation.
🔹 Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software.
🔹 E-Filing Knowledge: Experience with state and federal court e-filing systems (CM/ECF, PACER, Florida E-Portal, etc.).
🔹 Legal Document Preparation: Strong understanding of litigation procedures, formatting of legal documents, and court filing requirements.
🔹 Time Management & Multitasking: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently in a hybrid environment.
🔹 Communication & Professionalism: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
