We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal on behalf of our client for a full-time role in their Brickell office. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support to attorneys in all stages of litigation, including case management, discovery, and trial preparation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated paralegal to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced legal team.
Responsibilities
- Manage case files, organize and maintain legal documents, and oversee discovery materials.
- Electronically file pleadings in state and federal courts, ensuring deadlines are met and compliance is maintained.
- Review pleadings and filings to track case progress and calendar key deadlines.
- Prepare correspondence, subpoenas, and assist with pre-trial and trial preparation.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of discovery, including drafting outgoing requests, managing document productions, creating privilege logs, and processing received discovery.
- Provide support during evidentiary hearings, non-evidentiary hearings, trials, and arbitral proceedings.
Qualifications
- Bilingual: Fluency in English and Spanish required; Portuguese is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills with experience managing legal documents, discovery materials, deposition notices, and exhibits.
- Proficient in litigation databases and software; strong computer skills are essential.
- Familiarity with e-filing in both state and federal courts.
- Solid understanding of Federal and Florida Civil Procedure Rules.
- Experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw to pull cases and conduct research.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Paralegal Certification or degree in Paralegal Studies preferred; Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Litigation Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
