Our Am Law 200 client is seeking a mid-level associate to join their growing Emerging Companies/Venture Capital team. This position is available in their New York, Palo Alto, Washington, D.C., or Roseland, NJ office.
Key Responsibilities:- Handle corporate and transactional matters, with a focus on venture financings.
- Manage deal execution, ensuring smooth and efficient transaction processes.
- Supervise and mentor junior associates, providing training and oversight.
- Advise emerging growth companies, investors, and venture capital firms on legal and strategic matters.
- Draft, negotiate, and review corporate governance documents, financing agreements, and related contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic legal counsel on a range of business matters.
- Maintain strong client relationships and play an integral role in business development efforts.
- 3 – 6 years of experience handling corporate transactions, including venture financings.
- Strong knowledge of private company financing structures and corporate governance.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supervising and training junior associates.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Bar admission in the jurisdiction of the respective office location is preferred.
- Salary range: $260,000 – $390,000 (for class years 2022 through 2019).
