Our Am Law 200 client seeks a litigation attorney with 5 years of experience in the financial services industry to join its Financial Services practice in their Tampa office. The role involves working closely with multiple local partners and other attorneys throughout the firm’s footprint on their national client-based matters. Experience defending consumer claims under some or all of the following laws is preferred: Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA), Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA), Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules, as well as wire fraud and general banking operations. The team’s caseload is in state and federal court and AAA arbitration forums. The Firm is looking to make a long-term investment in the right candidate, who will be personally mentored by some of the Firm’s capital partners and practice leaders. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, polished interpersonal skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Portable business is a plus, but not required. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience. Full time in-office.
