Our law firm client is seeking an International Trade Attorney for their growing DC office.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Advise clients on regulatory issues, manage compliance with U.S. trade regulations, and represent clients in other trade-related matters, primarily U.S. import and export control laws, tariff classification, customs valuation and compliance, trade remedies, free trade agreements, tariff preference programs, and other trade related matters.
- Handle corporate transactions involving controlled technologies and international trade regulations.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support regulatory compliance.
- Draft, review, finalize, and negotiate legal documents related to international trade and corporate transactions.
- Represent clients in regulatory matters, including obtaining necessary licenses and approvals.
- Stay updated on changes in international trade laws and advise clients on emerging regulatory challenges.
