What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transactional Tax Attorney position at Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search?
The successful candidate will have 3-7 years of relevant tax experience in some of the following areas: real estate taxation (including REITs, qualified opportunity zones and 1031 like-kind exchanges), private equity (including fund formation, carried interest structures and M&A), partnership tax and joint ventures, energy (including tax credit monetization transactions), and family office structuring and related issues. The candidate must enjoy operating in a dynamic environment and be able to work with colleagues in different practice groups and countries. In addition, the successful candidate must enjoy learning and embracing new, developing areas of the tax law in which there is limited formal guidance. Top academic credentials are a prerequisite; an LLM in taxation is not required, but may be favorably considered.

This position is bonus eligible and includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits based on the number of hours worked. The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $260-420K annually when located in an office in the state of New York
