Our Am Law 200 client is seeking a Trusts and Estates Associate with 3 to 7 years of experience to join their growing Trusts & Estates practice. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional development, with significant responsibility and direct client contact. The ideal candidate will have experience in estate planning, sophisticated drafting, estate and trust administration, and estate and tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide legal counsel on estate planning, trust administration, and tax compliance.
- Draft sophisticated estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and related agreements.
- Handle all aspects of estate and trust administration, including probate filings and fiduciary accountings.
- Advise clients on tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies and estate tax planning.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on estate and tax laws.
- Maintain regular client communication, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with partners across multiple office locations to manage complex estate planning matters.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in trusts and estates law.
- Experience with estate planning, trust administration, and estate tax compliance.
- Strong drafting skills for complex estate planning documents.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred.
- Admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut, or Florida is a plus.
- Base salary range: $180,000 – $275,000 (dependent on experience and location).
