• Summer Camp Lead Preschool Teacher

Preschool Teacher – Summer Camp Responsibilities:

Spiritual Guidance:

• Teach students about the love of Jesus through positive role modeling, gentle and consistent temperament, and caring relationships.
• Display Christ-centeredness in daily work with students, parents, staff, and all who participate in the school’s community.
• Exhibit God’s love in approach to teaching and interactions with staff, students, and families.

Instructional Duties:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities based on summer themes that nurture the spiritual, social, cognitive, emotional, and physical needs of young children.
• Support and encourage social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development through positive guidance and creative expression.
• Develop daily lesson plans that reflect the summer themes and meet the unique needs of each student.
• Manage and maintain the classroom schedule effectively.
• Maintain open, honest, and respectful communication with parents.
• Follow and enforce positive behavior policies that emphasize guidance, empathy, and encouraging appropriate behavior.
• Communicate with parents regarding exceptional behavior, accidents, illnesses, and behavioral matters.

Location: Ascension Lutheran Preschool Magee & La Canada, Tucson, AZ

What We're Looking For: We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic individuals who have:

• A Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (required)
• Proof of freedom from tuberculosis (dated within the past 12 months)
• A high school diploma, GED, or current enrollment in a high school program
• A passion for working with children and a strong work ethic
• A heart for serving others and a love of the Lord

Preferred Qualifications:

• Training and/or education in Early Childhood Education

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
