Wise Path Recovery Centers - Morgantown, WV (in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services) is in search of a full time RN to join our team at our facility in Morgantown, West Virginia. Our program is dedicated to short-term residential treatment for both men and women. The facility’s purpose is to help stabilize symptoms of substance use disorder (SUD) and create a smoother transition to an outpatient program or aftercare services.

The Registered Nurse will serve as an important member of the treatment team for individuals with substance use disorders. The RN provides day-to-day clinical leadership/supervision for specified program. As a member of the treatment team(s) and the unit, is responsible for providing a broad range of treatment and case management functions for the population served. Provides clinical program coordination.
Accountabilities
- Participate as clinical personnel on a treatment unit and facilitates therapeutic milieu on the unit.
- Assess patient needs, including assessing for high-risk indicators and documents history/assessment in a manner that is clinically pertinent to the individual patient.
- Participate as an integral professional member of an interdisciplinary treatment team led by a Clinician
- Generate and review monthly medication administration records (MARs) or reconciling them to MARs provided by a duly authorized and qualified pharmacist or pharmacy.
- Provide direct clinical assessment and intervention services to individuals, groups and families.
- Perform discharge planning as developed with the treatment team from day of admission as needed.
- Participate in treatment planning sessions and assists treatment team by coordinating planning effort.
- Act as liaison for hospitalized patients and their families to various community agencies, hospital consultants and services.
- Provide direct clinical supervision to all unit clinical staff on the team and assess competency of clinical staff
- Develop and maintain a dynamic clinical program based on best practice.
- Record and chart daily patient contacts as required by hospital policy.
- Assist in quality reviews of program as assigned by the manager.
- Assist in maintaining regulatory compliance of the program.
- Maintain appropriate certification, licensure, and competency through supervision and/or training and successful completion of annual performance evaluations.

Education, Experience, Skills
- State-specific RN Licensure required.
- BSN or greater degree preferred
- 2 years’ experience in a mental health/SUD program; preferred in a setting providing acute and/or residential psychiatric care.
- CPR certification required/must obtain within 30 days of hire.
