What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapist Substance Use Disorder position at Ascension Recovery Services?
Wise Path Recovery Centers (in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services) is in search of a Clinical Therapist to join our team at our facility in Williamson, West Virginia, we have 46 beds on the third floor of the new Williamson Health & Wellness building, which previously operated as Williamson Memorial Hospital. Our program is dedicated to detox stabilization and short-term residential treatment for both men and women. The facility’s purpose is to help stabilize symptoms of substance use disorder (SUD) and create a smoother transition to an outpatient program or aftercare services.
The Clinical Therapist will assess the needs of clients, designing a treatment plan and conducting therapy sessions to ensure treatment goals are being met. This position will be expected to retain a case load of clients and hold retention to the best of their ability.
Accountabilities:
- Screens and evaluates individuals to plan and administer therapeutic treatment.
- Consults external community providers concerning treatment plans and for coordination of care, as required Administers biopsychosocial assessments.
- Delivers therapeutic services using evidence based, best practice (CBT, DBT, Motivational Interview, Trauma Focused-CBT) approach with individuals, families and groups as determined by their treatment plan.
- Completes accurate, timely clinical documentation consistent with agency standards, rules and regulations, including diagnosis using the DSM V.
- Complete annual training requirements to develop professional skills and abilities.
- Creates individualized treatment plan in collaboration with the client.
- Maintains professional standards and follows the treatment policies and procedures of the facility, and of the federal, state, and local regulations.
- Attends regular staff meetings and in-service trainings for clinical personnel.
- Provides progress reports to the courts, probation departments, families, and referral sources when appropriate.
- Advocates for the client and the family.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Lead Therapist.
- Supervise interns/volunteers.
- Coverage for weekend on call as needed
- Promote and adhere to the workplace values of integrity, respect, trust, teamwork, quality, and excellence.
- Ability to have clinical on-call responsibility.
Education and Experience, Certificates, and Licenses:
- Bachelors Degree required; Master's degree and clinical licensed preferred(e.g. MLADC, LICSW, LMHC). Candidates holding an LADC will be considered
- Extensive knowledge of SUD Certification in Addiction Counseling strongly preferred
- Certification in Addiction Counseling (ADC/AADC) strongly preferred
- Must have or, within 30 days from hire, be able to obtain current First Aid and CPR card.
