Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health Hospital is hiring an ECT RN! Schedule: M/W/F Shift: 7am to 1pm Pay Ranges: $38 per hour (2 shifts a month)$40 per hour (2 shifts a week)Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health Hospital is Nashville's Leading behavioral health treatment center and is a 90-bed adult (18 ) inpatient psychiatric hospital that provides a full continuum of behavioral health treatment services for adults from 18-64 and Seniors 65 and olderResponsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Provide education about the ECT procedure and obtain a level of understanding from the patient and family.
· Work within the treatment team to provide pre-treatment assessment, treatment monitoring and post-anesthesia recovery management for patients and assure the smooth flow of patients through the ECT process.
· Participate in development and evaluation of nursing practices provided in the clinical setting and the overall function of the clinical area including the ECT Suite.
· Use multiple data sources to determine actual/potential health issues, functional status and safety concerns.
· Communicate patient’s condition and need for altered care with treatment team.
· Establish a therapeutic alliance with assigned patients, initiates and continues pulse oximetry, oxygen saturation and EKG monitoring throughout treatment and recovery.
· Demonstrate safe, accurate and timely monitoring of cardiac and respiratory status and promote interventions that provide the least-restrictive and safest recovery.
Qualifications
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
· Current RN License as required by state.
· Current ACLS certification and Current IV Certification required.
· CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
· First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
