What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse, Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) position at Ascension?
Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking a Registered Nurse to work as a valued member of our care team in our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU).
Schedule: PRN Tier 1 Commitment, Night Shift 7p-7a
RN Tier 1: Minimum of 3-12hr shifts (totaling 36 hours) per 6-week work schedule. Minimum 1 weekend shift per 6-week cycle. Required 1 holiday shift from Option A.
Option A: Thanksgiving Eve Night, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Night, Christmas Day, New Years Eve Night, or New Years Day.
* Holiday is defined as 7pm prior to the designated holiday to 7pm on the designated holiday.
*RN eligible for Per Diem must have a minimum of 2 years hospital experience in the specific nursing field for which they are applying.

What You Will Do
Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
