SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Quality Assurance Coordinator has the responsibility to assist in ensuring various stages of the quality assurance program, assisting the quality team in tasks that support in-process validation as well as final buyoff process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintain Non-Conformance database, coordinate MRB activities, and follow up with weekly status reviews as well as Monthly Rework Reports.
Performs in-process reviews of material, special process, weld, and stress certs to ensure product conforms during life of project.
Maintain calibration database and coordinate calibration activities in conjunction with due dates.
Assist in the review and acceptance of finished products on the basis that all specifications and contractual requirements have been met.
Assist in creating inspection plans based off customer flow down of quality deliverables.
Assists quality team in documenting and retaining records of the final inspection and shipment of tooling.
Applies hand checks utilizing micrometers, calipers, etc. to ensure the integrity of the part, as needed.
Intermittent assistance in maintaining material receipt database, reviewing material ordered against P.O. and applying material tracking number.
Any additional duties reasonably assigned by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
Minimum 2-years of experience in a clerical and/or QA position within strict framework of quality procedures and processes.
High School / GED required; Associates or some college a plus.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints (GD&T understanding a plus), and procedure manuals.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. The ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
Strong troubleshooting aptitude and inquisitive nature.
Proven common-sense approach and ability to autonomously carry out regimented tasks and actions.
Has basic knowledge of customer and industry standards and specification.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22.C.F.R. § is required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional local travel to other site locations or vendors during the business day may be required. Some projects may require infrequent out-of-the-area and overnight travel.

Work with safe manufacturing processes and understand that eyewear is mandatory in the manufacturing area.
Knows that safety shoes are recommended in the manufacturing area
