We are growing at Ascent Aviation and looking for a System Analyst with previous ERP system interface experience. The System Analyst role is to develop, support and administer solutions and reporting systems that will provide tools to manage and make decisions to improve/streamline processes and grow the business at all levels of the organization with a heavy emphasis on accounting. Day to day it’s the responsibility of the analyst to assess the companies needs and look for areas of improvement.
This role is onsite and will primarily office at our Marana location (just north of Tucson). Relocation assistance maybe provided.

What You Will Do
- Gather requirements from business units for reports and enhancements and translate those requirements into functional designs and solutions
- Interface the financial systems with other operational systems such as but not limited to HRIS, work order management, CRM
- Assist in implementing new financial systems/reporting as the company business needs grow
- Identify opportunities for process or system improvements
- Build stored procedures, packages, and other database components in PL/SQL
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve any application problems, data anomalies, and software bugs
- Develop reports in Crystal, Jasper Reports or new technologies
- Works directly with Senior Programmer/Technical Lead to troubleshooting performance issues and improve optimization
- Monitors system, data, applications, processes and user errors and takes corrective action as appropriate
- Stay current on new platforms and tools to ensure business solutions is current and following best practices
- Follow internal Quality Assurance for managing custom software
What you will bring to the table:
Required –
- Minimum 5 years programming experience. Previous ERP system interface experience for mid to large size organization.
- Minimum of 3 years supporting Accounting in similar role with focus on financial reporting
- 5 years of experience developing reporting utilizing either Crystal Reports or Jasper Reports or recommend new technologies.
- Must have strong PL/SQL with Oracle back-end experience.
- Thorough understanding in analysis and design techniques.
- Highly motivated and driven with a sense of ownership. Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work in a team environment. Candidate must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize and plan workload adhering to deadlines. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and understand the English language; ability to adjust to rapidly changing circumstances and priorities.
- Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math or related discipline or equivalent combination of education or experience required.
- Experience with Component Controls Quantum a major plus.
- Knowledge of the Aviation MRO industry a plus.
- Previous experience in developing reports for accounting. Knowledge of or previous experience with Java Developer (JDBC, JSP, Struts, Servlets, JavaBeans, Javascript and HTML) a plus.
- Knowledge in or previous experience developing web-applications and interfaces to/from an ERP system with an Oracle back end preferred. They will perform coding, testing, debugs, documentation and at times user testing.
