About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Ascent Chemicals. This role involves maintaining plant equipment, ensuring efficient operations, and adhering to safety protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safety and Environmental Requirements:
- Read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS), don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly and effectively, and safely work around hazardous chemicals.
- Maintenance Work Requirements:
- Perform all duties assigned by management in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner, troubleshoot and repair process equipment, and perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
Requirements:
- A High School Diploma and/or GED
- At least 3 years of experience maintaining plant equipment, including vessels, reactors, storage tanks, vacuum pumps, diaphragm pumps, motors, gear boxes, valves, lift trucks, and various industrial utility systems
- Ability to safely handle and maneuver objects up to 600 lbs., wear full-face respirators, and communicate in English
