Position Specifics
Substitute Teachers will gain valuable classical classroom experience while having the joy of supporting and working closely with teachers. Successful candidates are coachable, highly organized, disciplined, and motivated. They will support teachers in their routine administrative duties while learning how to manage a classroom, reinforce instruction, prepare materials and equipment and supervise students. Substitute Teachers are critical roles that will support the academic environment by filling in for teachers when they are absent from the classroom.
Minimum Position Requirements
- Associate's degree or some college preferred
- After offer is accepted, satisfactory background check as required by state law and the South Carolina Department of Education
- Conviction in the values of a rigorous liberal arts education
- Dedication to the value of a rigorous liberal arts education
- Loyalty to the school and ACA’s mission and vision
- Commitment to model moral character in line with the school’s Core Virtues and the pursuit of the Good, True, and Beautiful
- Adherence to all ACA policies, including but not limited to the Employee Handbook, Family Handbook, and all applicable school and board policies
Desired Start Date: Immediately
Employment Type: Part-Time (as needed during the academic year)
Compensation: $80 - $100 per day (depending on experience)
