Season : Winter- December thru March
Stipend pay : $500.00 one-time payout at the end of the season
Position Summary :
Ascent Classical Academy of Douglas County is seeking a dedicated Middle School Assistant Coach to support the head coach in developing student-athletes in both skill and character. Responsibilities include assisting with practice planning, skill development, game strategy, and fostering a positive team environment aligned with the school's classical education values. Candidates should have experience in coaching or playing the sport, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to student growth. This is a part-time, seasonal position.
Key Responsibilities .
- Instruct and work with athletes with guidance from the head coach to prepare them for competition
- The Assistant Coach reports to the Head Track Coach and Athletic Director and is responsible for assisting with the coaching program
- Demonstrate leadership by implementing of expectations and direction of the program
- Preparation of team for competition
- Attend all practices and games
- Assist with set up and take down of equipment for practices and games
