Reports to : Athletic Director
Season / Work Hours / Days : Spring Season (March - end of May) Practice / game days,
Hourly Wage Range : $ 1,000.00 one-time payout end of May
Position Summary :
The Head Coach at Ascent Classical Academy Charter Schools Inc. is responsible for leading and developing student-athletes in alignment with the school's mission and classical education philosophy. This role includes designing and implementing practice plans, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship, and ensuring a positive, disciplined, and competitive environment. The Head Coach will mentor student-athletes, communicate effectively with parents and school administration, and oversee program logistics, including scheduling and compliance with league regulations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who prioritizes character development, academic achievement, and athletic excellence.
This position collaborates directly with and reports to the Athletic Director.
Key Responsibilities .
- Ability to effectively communicate with all activities staff, parents, students, other staff members, and visitors to the school.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of the sport(s) assigned.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Coaches are expected to thoroughly understand the rules, principles, and competitive strategies of the sport they coach
- They are expected to be present at all in-season and out-of-season practices and at all games
- Should a coach be unable to attend a game or practice, they are to make suitable arrangements in their absence
- Attend all practices and games
- Assist with set up and take down of equipment for practices and games
