Job Title : Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location : Ascent Classical Academy of Grand Junction (ACAGJ)
FLSA Status : Exempt
Reports To : Director of Student Services
Work Days : 30 hrs / wk (school days plus Professional Development and work days per worksite calendar)
Wage : $45-55 / hr
Position Summary :
Ascent Classical Academy of Grand Junction seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Student Services team.
This role involves developing individualized treatment plans, providing therapy in individual and group settings, and collaborating with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support clients' progress.
Essential Functions
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
- Has or is eligible for Colorado licensure and preferably holds ASHA certification
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs
- Provide direct therapy sessions in individual and group settings, adapting methods to best meet client progress
- Collaborate with family members, caregivers, and other health professionals to support the overall treatment plan
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records, documenting progress, challenges, and adjustments to treatment
- Case manage students on an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for Speech services
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and other school or team-related discussions when required
- Provide consultation and training to caregivers, educators, and other relevant stakeholders
- Stay current with best practices and evidence-based techniques in speech and language therapy
- Other duties as needed
