ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all HR practices, including but not limited to recruiting, background checks, record retention, and payroll / wage and hour requirements.
  • Work in Coordination with the General Managers / Leadership at the property.
  • Scale and oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts to attract and retain top talent.
  • In partnership with senior leaders, follow organizational design strategies to best utilize people resources and focus hiring efforts.
  • Lead initiatives to foster employee engagement, company culture, and performance management.
  • Facilitate and / or coordinate administration of harassment and discrimination training and compliance, in accordance with state and federal requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage benefits administration, compensation strategies, and performance review processes.
  • Partner with leadership on organizational development and employee relations, providing guidance and HR best practices.
  • Conduct independent employee relations investigations, as applicable.
  • Develop and execute on HR team strategy, ensuring organizational design, development and ongoing performance management of HR team member(s).
  • Create and maintain HR metrics to monitor employee turnover, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace environment.
  • Collaborate with management to develop learning and development programs for employees.
  • Support and guide management on disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and legal HR matters.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3 years of progressive HR generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Experience in rapid growth environment, with a focus on scaling HR processes (hiring, onboarding, development)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated success in talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • PHR (or other nationally recognized HR certification) a plus
  • Direct people leadership a plus
  • Experience in the Hospitality industry (Marriott Brand experience) is strongly preferred.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand for long periods of time on hard surface; using arms, hands and legs repetitively; handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee is frequently required to walk, balance, talk, hear and smell
  • Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals, warm temperature and able to work with all food products
  • Must regularly be able to carry and balance up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Must be capable of effectively using close vision, distance vision, color vision and sense of smell
  • Able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
