What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Manager position at Ascent Hospitality?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all HR practices, including but not limited to recruiting, background checks, record retention, and payroll / wage and hour requirements.
- Work in Coordination with the General Managers / Leadership at the property.
- Scale and oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts to attract and retain top talent.
- In partnership with senior leaders, follow organizational design strategies to best utilize people resources and focus hiring efforts.
- Lead initiatives to foster employee engagement, company culture, and performance management.
- Facilitate and / or coordinate administration of harassment and discrimination training and compliance, in accordance with state and federal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and company policies.
- Manage benefits administration, compensation strategies, and performance review processes.
- Partner with leadership on organizational development and employee relations, providing guidance and HR best practices.
- Conduct independent employee relations investigations, as applicable.
- Develop and execute on HR team strategy, ensuring organizational design, development and ongoing performance management of HR team member(s).
- Create and maintain HR metrics to monitor employee turnover, engagement, and satisfaction.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace environment.
- Collaborate with management to develop learning and development programs for employees.
- Support and guide management on disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and legal HR matters.
