- Greet all guest with eye contact and a warm welcome as they enter the dining area.
- Maintain a proactive guest service approach at all times.
- Assist with seating guests as needed (in the absence of the hostess)
- Provide fast, friendly professional and responsive customer service to hotel & restaurant guest & staff.
- Serve food and beverage in accordance with standards and in a professional courteous manner.
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition
- Adhere to all Brand Standards regarding Food and Beverage and Service
- Assist with the set up and cleanliness of the Restaurant.
- Assist with clearing and set-up of tables
- Assist with restocking of supplies as needed
- Communicate effectively with Management and other Team Members
- Use Point of Sale (POS) system as required
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor/ manager.
- Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/ manager
- Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English above a basic level, to effectively communicate with Team Members and Guests.
- Must maintain a neat and professional appearance upholding Company appearance standards at all times.
- Must be able to apply commonsense understanding, in carrying out instructions
- Must be able to comply in standardized situations with only occasional or no variation.
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including Holidays.
- Must be able to work without constant supervision.
- Must be able to work well as a part of a team.
- Must be engaging with all guest throughout meal periods; responding to guest and Team Members as required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand for long periods of time on hard surface; using arms, hands and legs repetitively; handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to walk, balance, talk, hear and smell.
- Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals, warm temperature and able to work with all food products.
- Must regularly be able to carry and balance up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Must be capable of effectively using close vision, distance vision, color vision and sense of smell.
- Able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Six months Customer Service, hotel or restaurant experience preferred, but not required.
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must obtain TIPS certification within 30 days (if not certified).
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer/client focus.
