Benefits Insurance Account Manager
Position Overview:
The Benefits Insurance Account Manager will be responsible for servicing and managing group benefits accounts, ensuring clients receive exceptional support and guidance. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently while collaborating with our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Service & Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for group benefits clients.
- Provide proactive client support, including policy servicing, enrollment processing, renewals, and plan changes.
- Educate clients on their benefits options and assist with claims issues or policy questions.
- Ensure accuracy in all policy documentation and client communications.
Quoting & Renewal Support
- Assist agents in gathering quotes from carriers and preparing plan comparisons.
- Work with clients during the renewal process to ensure timely and seamless plan transitions.
Policy Compliance & Administration
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and carrier requirements.
- Process policy updates, terminations, and additions as needed.
- Keep accurate records in agency management systems.
Collaboration & Decision-Making
- Work closely with producers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Independently handle routine client requests and problem-solving, escalating issues when necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the benefits insurance field (group health, life, and other employee benefits)
- Prior experience in benefits account management or customer service within an insurance agency or brokerage
- Must hold an active Oklahoma Life & Health Insurance License
- Working knowledge of AMS360 preferred; will consider experience with other agency management systems
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills - ability to explain complex benefits concepts clearly
- Tech-savvy - comfortable using agency management systems and online carrier portals
- Strong attention to detail - ensures accuracy in all documentation and policy processing
- Independent and proactive - can make decisions and solve problems efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - prioritizes tasks and meets deadlines effectively
- Local travel will be required for client meetings
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm (Hybrid Work Options)
