What are the responsibilities and job description for the I&E Technician position at Ascent Resources?
Ascent Resources is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Electrical Technician. This position is located in the Cambridge, OH field office and will report to the I&E Foreman.
This position is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electronic control systems on production facilities.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Break/fix and troubleshooting of production pad level instrumentation
• Control system testing
• Solution design for long-term remediation of chronic control issues
• Communicate with Lease Operators on issues and resolutions

• Understanding of fundamental mathematics
• Ability to identify potential hazards in the field (related to oil & gas)
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Attention to detail
Preferred:
• Understanding of basic principles of production control systems to API RP 14C
• Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
• Meet Ascent’s Motor Vehicle Record and driver qualifications

Education & Work Experience Required
Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years of industry experience
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
• 24VDC controls and power systems
• 120 VAC power systems
Preferred:
• Associates (2 year) or Technical Degree
• Emerson control experience
• Oil & Gas production operations experience
• Emerson ROC 800 training
