Position Overview:
As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the internal IT needs of the company and providing hands-on technical support. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure that the IT systems are efficient, aligned with business goals, and secure. You will also serve as the main point of contact for internal users, assisting with troubleshooting, training, and ongoing technology optimization. While the third-party IT vendor will handle security and complex IT infrastructure, you will be the go-to person for day-to-day IT operations, technical assistance, and strategic improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Internal IT Support: Act as the primary point of contact for all internal IT-related issues, providing hands-on support to end-users to resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- IT System Management: Oversee and manage the company’s internal IT infrastructure, including workstations, servers, printers, telephone systems, internet, and collaboration tools. Ensure systems are running efficiently and are optimized to meet business needs.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with the third-party IT vendor for security, system maintenance, and any technical issues beyond internal capabilities and/or capacity. Ensure smooth communication between the company and the vendor.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop, refine, and document comprehensive IT policies and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Regularly review and update policies to maintain operational efficiency, security, and compliance across all IT systems and services."
- User Training & Support: Provide training and guidance to internal employees on new software, tools, or IT systems. Develop and maintain documentation to support self-service solutions for common IT issues.
- Project Management: Manage IT-related projects, including system upgrades, software installations, network improvements, and IT initiatives aimed at increasing operational efficiency.
- Hardware & Software Procurement: Work with the leadership team to identify and procure appropriate hardware and software solutions for the business, ensuring that purchases are cost-effective and aligned with company needs.
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Regularly monitor system performance to ensure stability, security, and compliance with IT policies. Perform routine maintenance and updates to keep systems current.
- Data Management: Ensure the integrity and security of business data. Assist 3rd party IT vendor with data backup, recovery strategies, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Build strong relationships with various departments to identify technology needs and implement solutions that improve internal workflows and productivity.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of IT support experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, including desktop support, network management, and server administration.
- Proven experience managing IT projects, vendor relationships, and coordinating with external partners.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, network management, and VoIP systems.
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery systems, and IT security best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues for end-users.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.

- Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to design and manage organized IT systems, ensuring resources and assets are effectively coordinated.
- Time Management Expertise: Proven track record of handling multiple projects with varying deadlines, ensuring that IT tasks are completed within allocated time frames.

- Prompt communication regarding technical difficulties, outages, changes in project timelines, etc, while providing estimated time to resolve, and prompt notification upon resolution.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Independent Work Ability: Highly capable of managing tasks and projects autonomously, making independent decisions when necessary while ensuring the achievement of department goals. Strong project management skills, with experience leading IT initiatives.
- Prioritization: Ability to balance long-term strategic goals with urgent operational needs, managing day-to-day tasks while staying aligned with overall IT objectives.
- Excellent Customer Service: Ability to provide high-quality customer support, listen to concerns, address user needs, and offer effective solutions with professionalism and empathy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a real estate, construction, or property management environment.
- Familiarity with IT management systems (e.g., helpdesk software, asset management tools).
- Knowledge of IT security standards and compliance regulations.
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.
