What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider position at Ascentist Healthcare?
In this role, you will be an independent healthcare provider working closely with our orthopedic physician in a highly collaborative team that focuses on patient's treatments and ensures a positive experience for every patient. You will be responsible for managing health problems and coordinating care for surgical and non-surgical patients in ambulatory, along with acute care or in-patient settings for pre or post surgical patients.
You will play a critical role in ensuring that each patient's experience is not only positive, but also customized to their specific needs by assessing their health status, diagnosing medical conditions, developing their medical plan of care, and implementing treatments. To ensure your responsibilities and top notch patient care is being met, you will utilize the standards of care in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations. In addition, by adhering to established standards, policies, and your scope of practice, you will help us achieve our mission of providing a tailored healthcare experience that truly sets us apart.
If you have experience working as an APP in a clinical, surgical, and inpatient setting and are either a Nurse Practitioner (Must be an active Registered Nurse (RN) AND active board certification Nurse Practitioner in Kansas plus a master's degree from an accredited nursing program) or Physician Assistant (Must be an active Registered Physician Assistant in KS and possess Master’s Degree from an accredited PA program), plus Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire, and a current Basic Life Support (BLS), we'd love to talk with you.

Job Type: Fulltime; Monday - Friday (potential weekend rounding)
