Work Location/Program Overview:
Ascentria’s Child and Family Services in Concord, NH, are dedicated to empowering vulnerable youth, families, and individuals through a range of life-changing services. Our comprehensive programs include family stabilization, foster care, and intensive case management, designed to provide the support needed to overcome challenges and build brighter futures.
Position Overview:
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and families? As a Therapeutic Support Worker, you'll be at the heart of a dynamic team that helps strengthen and support families within the child protection system. Your work will directly impact the well-being of children by providing supervision during visits, offering valuable counseling, education on health and safety, delivering parenting support, and assisting families with resource coordination and service referrals.
This is a flexible, hourly position with the chance to work around afterschool and evening hours. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- High School Diploma with 4 years’ experience working with families required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field with 2 years’ experience working with families preferred.
- Must be at least 22 years of age
- Understanding of and ability to work positively with children and parents with mental health challenges and/or intellectual disabilities
- Ability to provide documentation such as valid driver's license, evidence of automobile insurance and a clear criminal record and central registry check as required to work in community services
- Ability to drive your own safe running and reliable vehicle with mileage reimbursement provided by the organization.
