Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and revise technical documents, reports, proposals, and performance work statements based on work orders, customer requirements, and industry standards.
- Research material costs, labor estimates, and trade capabilities using industry-recognized estimating software.
- Analyze customer requests to determine work requirements and create necessary documentation for task or delivery orders.
- Observe production, developmental, and experimental activities to verify and refine operating procedures.
- Utilize technical manuals, manufacturer catalogs, and specifications to ensure accuracy in documentation.
- Organize and maintain records, revisions, and distribution of technical materials.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and reports to document assignments and formal reviews.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a professional office setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant software for production control functions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate and resolve complex technical or logistical issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or Engineering Technology.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Specification Writer or Engineering Technician.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, and product samples to integrate and clarify technical information.
- Maintain organized documentation and apply industry standards to technical writing.
- Must successfully complete a National Agency Check (NAC) to obtain required access for this position.
