Role Description: As a Manufacturing Consultant, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, optimizing, and transforming manufacturing operations. The role requires expertise in manufacturing processes, production workflows, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
Assessing and improving Customer's manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process standardization and automation.
Implementing best practices in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Total Process Safety (TPS).
Supporting CUSTOMER's digital transformation by integrating Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), IoT solutions, and ERP systems.
Identifying and mitigating risks related to quality, safety, and operational bottlenecks.
Providing subject matter expertise in batch and continuous processing, material flow, and production scheduling. Driving sustainability initiatives by optimizing energy consumption, waste reduction, and carbon footprint minimization. Training teams and ensuring knowledge transfer of best practices in manufacturing.
Competencies: EIS: Manufacturing Process Management
Essential Skills: Strong Manufacturing Process Knowledge in food processing, agriculture, or chemical manufacturing. Experience in process optimization, workflow automation, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPS). Hands-on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and IoT-enabled smart manufacturing. Deep understanding of Total Process Safety (TPS) and Process Safety Management (PSM) in a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess process bottlenecks and recommend improvements. Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP) and compliance regulations. Ability to work across cross-functional teams, collaborating with operations, IT, and supply chain teams.
Desirable Skills: Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies such as AI-driven predictive maintenance, digital twins, and industrial automation. Understanding of data analytics, dashboards, and business intelligence tools for manufacturing insights. Prior experience working in agri-food, nutrition, or bio-based manufacturing industries. Knowledge of sustainability and green manufacturing initiatives, such as carbon footprint reduction and renewable energy integration. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for food safety, environmental health, and workplace safety (OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, FSMA, etc.).
