Position Summary : Operator - General - 12 hour Shift (days)
- This is a safety sensitive position!
Purpose of the Job
This position requires set-up and operation of various types of production equipment, as well as performing other responsibilities and cross functional tasks required for the production of aerospace parts.
Essential Job Responsibilities :
Participate in a cross training and cross functioning team environment by learning and performing tasks in various areas of production (i.e. masking / blasting / polishing / tool setting)Perform tasks with a high attention to detailInspects and reports any defectsComplete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely manner.Function within a flexible task operations systemUse of various measuring devices and air toolsCleans and maintains tools and equipment used in the work area and keeps the work area clean.Contribute in 5S and Lean manufacturing processes, including Kaizen (continuous improvement)Perform other duties as assigned by ManagementAchieve daily production goals via efficient operations and excellent team-workWork in a safe manner following safety guidelines and policiesMaintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements following Asco guidelinesPotential for travel domestic and / or internationalRequired Qualifications and Skills :
Education :
High School Diploma or equivalent; technology diploma or equivalent preferredExperience :
Manufacturing experience preferred.Excellent oral and written English communication skillsVery good organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to read, understand and interpret drawing tolerances and specifications, preferredMust enjoy working in a team environment and be willing to accommodate flexible working schedules, including shift workMust be able to demonstrate safe operation of machineryWork under minimal supervision while handling multiple job requirementsBe able to regularly handle items weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally handle items weighing up to 50 poundsGood manual dexterity with the ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time in a repetitive manufacturing environmentParticipate in a cross training and cross functioning team environmentPass visual and physical exams if requiredMust be eligible / authorized to work in the United States, currently and in the future.List of Benefits :
