Position Summary : Treatment Operator
- this is a 2nd shift position
Purpose of the Job
This position functions as support for the Supervisor and production team with a special and main business focus on the technical aspects within the assigned area and field of specialization. This position requires set-up and operation of various types of treatment methods, as well as, performing other responsibilities and cross functional tasks required for the production of aerospace parts.
This is safety sensitive position.Essential Job Responsibilities :
Load and unload partsInterface with computer control systemPrepare equipment for operation in accordance with defined procedures and specificationsPrepare part for treatment process (e.g. cleaning, masking, blasting, etc.)Monitor and troubleshoot processPerform physical or visual verification of parts as requiredOperation of forklift and overhead craneProvide technical support for introduction of new projectsTrain and support new employeesMaintain clean work environment through 5S activitiesMust work in a safe manner following safety guidelines and policiesFollow PPE requirements, including but not limited to respirator requirementsOther assigned duties as requiredRequired Qualifications and Skills :
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent; technology diploma or equivalent preferred
Skills / Experience :
Manufacturing experience preferredWilling to work in 3 shift operationMust possess basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel, PLC input) and be willing and able to perform necessary required documentationBasic skills such as reading, writing, and mathMust possess strong communication skills and effective writing skills in the English language.Must have good problem-solving skillsMust enjoy working in a team environment and be willing to accommodate flexible working schedules, including shift workMust be able to demonstrate safe operation of machineryWork under minimal supervision while handling multiple job requirementsBe able to regularly handle items weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally handle items weighing up to 50 poundsGood manual dexterity and hand / eye coordinationMust be able to visually detect colorThe ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time in a repetitive manufacturing environmentParticipate in a cross training and cross functioning team environmentAble to take and Pass visual, physical, and respiratory fit testing exams, if requiredMust be eligible / authorized to work in the United States, currently and in the future.This is a safety sensitive position.AAUSA, LLC.
