Job Summary
Ascot’s Workers’ Compensation Claims business unit is seeking a motivated Senior Nurse Case Manager to contribute to the successful management of workers' compensation claims. The Senior Nurse Case Manager will be responsible for collaborating with adjusters, injured workers, healthcare providers, employers, and other stakeholders to facilitate appropriate and cost-effective medical care while promoting a timely return to work. The successful candidate will oversee catastrophic injury management and offer consultation and oversight of medical treatment to promote best outcomes. This role will be in the Ridgeland, Mississippi office with a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, long-term incentives, and other forms of discretionary compensation awarded by the Company.

Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Review surgical requests and coordinate pre and post-surgical care.
- Collaborate with adjusters and strategic partners providing clinical guidance to support provision of timely evidence-based care with quality outcomes for injured workers.
- Support the claims teams in risk assessments and identifying interventions.
- Assist the claims team with case reserving using evidence-based guidelines.
- Monitor high risk cases and offer consultation on claims being handled by program partners and third party administrators.
- Measure efficiency, outcomes, and savings with preferred vendors and networks to ensure best partnership engagements.
- Negotiate durable medical equipment costs with suppliers, facility fees for inpatient long term care, and home nursing or sitter services.
- Work with healthcare providers to ensure patients receive timely and coordinated care.
- Assist with additional ad hoc projects as required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active and unrestricted license in the state of Mississippi.
- Nurse Case Management Certification is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- At least seven (7) years of specific experience in Workers’ Compensation nurse case management is required.
- Must be positive, self-motivated, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly customer-centric both internally and externally.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong collaborative skills in a fast-paced team-centric environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
