What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Project Engineer position at ASE?
POSITION OVERVIEW
This key role will collaborate with facility and engineering leadership to create, optimize and implement equipment designs to enhance plant production output. This position encompasses a wide range of projects, from large-scale building construction and equipment setups to smaller production system upgrades.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and Engineering: Enhance plant and equipment through innovative design and engineering solutions.
- Project Management: Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to schedule and oversee projects effectively.
- Documentation: Compile and maintain detailed drawings and information for existing plant equipment.
- System Development: Partner with plant and engineering leadership to design and implement new systems or forms to facilitate the production of new products or modify existing equipment.
- Technical Implementation: Interpret and implement designs from technical drawings.
- Creativity and Problem-Solving: Apply creative thinking and problem-solving skills as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in industrial manufacturing engineering, including facility design and installation.
- Experience making recommendations for necessary equipment.
- Willingness to be HANDS-ON, including assisting with equipment recoveries.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
- Solid understanding industrial electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of industrial automation systems. PLC programming experience (Siemens) preferred.
- CAD experience required, preferably in SolidWorks or AutoCAD
