Primary Function :

The incumbent is responsible for presiding over the maintenance of strategic relationships with generic vendors and overseeing assignments in support of generic contracts. Responsible for helping the company to achieve financial goals and increase operating performance.
Job Scope and Major Responsibilities :
- Identify product opportunities, cost savings, and cost reduction opportunities.
- Manage GP margins, set pricing.
- Negotiate terms and conditions, cost, and fee structures for direct purchase agreements.
- Create sales reports for manufacturer business reviews.
- Produce monthly KPI reports for manufacture programs.
- Oversee inventory (forecast, manage par levels, and process POs).
- Construct yearly projections based on market trends and manufacturer pipelines.
- Generate chargebacks, PSRs, service fees, and shelf stock adjustments.
- Negotiate ‘one-off’ pharmacy specific contracts with manufacturers.
- Calculate quarterly sales commissions.
- Manage REMS and Apexus 340B program.
- Manage 3PL logistical operations.
- Facilitate Epipen for Schools Program.
- Identify sales opportunities.
- Provide product information and education to sales team.
- Attend trade shows and on-site customer and vendor visits.
- Compliance with the provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and its implementing regulations, as amended (“HIPAA”).
Performance Criteria :
Performance in this role is measured by successful maintenance of existing relationships / programs and development of new relationships / programs as well as direction of team’s timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate has obtained a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management and / or related experience is required. Candidate must have exemplary communication, organizational, and time management skills. Pharmaceutical and / or Pharmacy (Specialty Pharmacy) experience preferred.
