Responsibilities
- Operate various types of vehicles including flatbed trucks, tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and refrigerated trailers.
- Execute route driving to deliver products to customers in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Manage loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Operate manual transmission vehicles when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver is preferred.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type being operated.
- Familiarity with flatbed, tractor-trailer, dump truck, and refrigerated trailer operations is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills within the local area.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety protocols.
- Ability to pass background checks and adhere to company policies regarding drug testing.
