Position Overview : We're hiring a System Administrator supporting Space Systems to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, you will work within a cross-functional team to provide hands-on experience designing, installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining enterprise ground systems. The System Administrator must have a team-oriented and customer-focused attitude due to multiple locations and various end users. You'll have an immediate effect on the warfighting efforts of our nation to maintain U.S. space dominance.
Work Location : Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO - approximately 10% travel
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage the organization's servers, desktop and mobile equipment
- Ensure that email and data storage networks work properly
- Ensure that employees' workstations are working efficiently and stay connected to the central computer network
- Manage telecommunication networks
- Assist network architects to design and analyze network models
- Participate in decisions about buying future hardware or software to upgrade the organization's network
