General Shop Laboer

ASGCO Manufacturing, Inc., a manufacturer and turn-key service provider of bulk material handling equipment, including; conveyor systems, conveyor components, screens and wear parts to the aggregate, cement, recycling and other bulk material handling industries.

ASGCO has a General Shop Technician opening for a candidate with a great positive attitude and mechanical aptitudewho excels at working in a team environment which helps drive the business.  Any construction or millwright type jobs including steel fabrication, welding, proper rigging techniques and any conveyor experience is a plus.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate proper safe use of handling of tools, equipment and materials
• Mechanical aptitude
• Actively measure and assemble materials
• Inspect materials and finished products for defects and conformance to specifications
• Assist co-workers as needed to meet daily priorities, coverage and projects
• Ability to learn new processes and procedures quickly
• Safely operate a forklift and other shop equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Promote a safe and positive work environment
• Take part of our Conveyor Technician training programs for advancement
• Make deliveries to our suppliers and customers
• Comply with all policies and procedures in Employee Handbook

Requirements

• Light industrial manufacturing or production experience preferred
• Valid Driver's License
• High School Diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Ability to operate a forklift and pickup truck
• Effective communication is required
• Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
• Must be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test and background check
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires
