Reliability Engineer Role
As a Reliability Engineer at Ash Grove Cement, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and maintainability of our equipment, processes, and safety systems.
You will drive efforts to enhance equipment performance, minimize downtime, and develop strategies to mitigate risks that could adversely affect plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement reliability initiatives to enhance equipment performance and minimize downtime
- Analyze and manage risks that could adversely affect plant operations and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Manage life cycle assets and risk management for critical plant equipment
- Provide technical support to production, maintenance, and technicians
- Prepare CAPEX documents for reliability program-related expenditures
- Prepare cost avoidance reports for PDM findings
- Perform CMMS data analysis
- Analyze online condition monitoring data and initiate workflow process based on risk analysis
- Provide direct oversight of projects and contract labor during plant annual maintenance periods
- Develop PM and PDM tasks for newly installed equipment
- Conduct safety meetings and work area inspections on a regular basis to ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements
- Coordinate and schedule predictive maintenance activities and tasks
- Solicit feedback and ideas from PdM technicians to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of predictive maintenance activities and tasks
- Provide guidance, coaching, motivation, training, and development to direct reports
- Maintain records of timesheets, attendance, and PTO and ensure compliance with company policies
Requirements:
- Minimum 4-year degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
- Minimum 3 years in related process industry with significant experience in maintenance work processes, inventory, failure analysis, reliability theory, continuous improvement methods, and CMMS
- Proficient in English written, verbal communication, and listening skills
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform, organize, and prioritize work independently
- Knowledge of reliability practices and procedures as they relate to heavy industrial machinery and/or cement manufacturing
- Knowledge of reliability principles including FMEA, vibration analysis, lubrication, and tribology
- Ability to work under general supervision with specified policies, objectives, and guidelines
