- Shifts:** 4x10
- Pay** : $35.62 _This is a collective bargaining position._

- Repairs broken and worn metal parts using welding equipment
- Fabricates chute work, ducting, housings and machines from blueprints
- Welds facing hard of highly worn parts
- Fabricates and rebuilds parts as needed
- On a continuing basis observes all safety rules and keeps work areas and equipment clean and orderly.
- Oil and lube machinery and equipment
- Assists Quarry shop on routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as needed.
- High school graduation or equivalent is required
- Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
- Knowledge of metals and alloys, preheating, expansion and contraction of metals, types of rods suitable for various metals and alloys, rods for wear resistance, and the strength and penetration of welds.
- Knowledge, skills & ability to fuse or braze metals together by use of an electrical oxygen-acetylene apparatus; starting gasoline motor drive generators; connecting required wire cables for ground and electrode circuits; adjusting rheostats for proper electrical current; and setting up welding apparatus.
- Must possess and demonstrate knowledge of plant safety and lockout procedures and the ability to comply with all plant rules.
- Ability to fabricate metal objects in the form of sheet, plate, shapes and castings from drawings.
- Knowledge of basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Ability to use plant computer to access warehouse and preventive maintenance information
- Willingness to learn, training will be provided
