The Summer Laborer performs general clean-up, labor responsibilities, and material handling duties. This position complies with all applicable safety policies and regulations.Preference will be given to Ash Grove Dependents and/or returning Summer Laborers.
What You'll Be Contributing
Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.

The Summer Laborer performs general clean-up, labor responsibilities, and material handling duties. This position complies with all applicable safety policies and regulations.Preference will be given to Ash Grove Dependents and/or returning Summer Laborers.
What You'll Be Contributing
- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines
- Performs general clean-up and plant housekeeping duties using a shovel, broom, chipping hammer, pavement breaker, and other assorted hand tools.
- Performs cleaning of plant equipment, buildings, properties, and grounds; including the following but not limited to building floors, belt conveyors among other equipment.
- Fill in as needed and performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Responsible for recording and maintaining documentation associated with the job-related activity.
- Assists in plant repair projects and keeps work areas and equipment clean and orderly.
- Observes all safety rules, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
- High School diploma or GED
- Proficient in English written, verbal communication skills and listening skills
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to take initiative
- Ability to demonstrates a high commitment to quality
- Ability to be thorough and dependable
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to safely use and operate various tools and machines.
